One of the most real depictions of what depression and anxiety can do to someone while not being sappy. Truly great, funny, lovely film.

I didn't like the movie because it was extremely depressing and it made me really angry. I didn't like what Nadine's friend did, that was extremely messed up and beyond betrayal. This is the worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. The only thing I loved was that Nadine and Erwin got together at the end. Especially that big moment when she smiled when she was right next to him. I felt a connection, it wasn't very relateable, but there was a emotional connection. Overall I hated the movie. But I love the character Nadine!

At a time when judgment and self-righteousness outrank forgiveness and empathy, Nadine is the heroine we need.

Steinfeld’s performance and the script from Kelly Fremon Craig have created a young woman who feels entirely familiar, while never feeling like a retread of the other teenagers who have walked the cinematic high school halls before her.

The scenes that work just make me ache for more of them, signaling that if Craig finds her groove, she’ll be a force to reckon with.
