Atom User Reviews for The Doors: Live At The Bowl '68 Special Edition
A great concert film. But would have been better had it been louder with more of the surround sound effect. I wanted to be immersed in the concert sound
Wonderful concert film capturing The Doors on the heels of their 3rd album release, Waiting For the Sun. Spanish Caravan and Light My Fire are marvelous, along with Hello I Love, Moonlight Drive and powerful versions of When The Music's Over and The End. We are extremely fortunate to have this footage and the additional footage added. Seeing Jim, Robby, Ray and John work their musical magic on the big screen is awesome. An incredible timepiece of a night at the Hollywood Bowl in 1968.
i thought it was great i was young when the doors came out and dont remember them as well...but as i got older started to listen to them....jim morrison was a smart man when he wrote his songs...
Great performance would have been more enjoyable at louder volume..
Poor performance. Believe this concert was done not long before Jim Morrison left the Doors. It was clear Jim’s heart wasn’t in it. Definitely did not feel like you were attending a concert. Very disappointed.
Sound could have been a lot better, but still an awesome show
We missed seeing The Doors live in concert back in the 60s so it was a lot of fun to see them work together on this great album, LA Woman. We thought it was awesome!
Needed to be louder
This was so disappointing! Unnecessary jam session with someone other then Morrison, but was happy once the actual film started right away we couldn’t hear it! They had to turn up the volume but the show was halfway over by then!
