Atom User Reviews for The Case for Heaven
Weird animation production gimmicks, lots of “empty time” spent on people just walking, standing or driving, abrupt & fragmented changes in people/topics without finishing the thought. Many digressions—tho interesting—that didn't relate to the movie’s title. Disappointed there were so few interviews/accounts of the highly-touted near-death experiences & so little scripture references. Had been praying my adult son would attend with us, but glad now that he didnt. Sadly, this was not a well-presented “case.”
The parts that were good were very good, but there weren't many of them. I would have love to hear more about near death experiences. I agree why was the part about the band member not believing in there? I was disappointed, and my husband fell asleep. It did have beautiful scenery, though.
I was really disappointed I. This
Did not care for the production. Not one near death experience of someone who went to heaven. To many “pregnant pauses” to “artsy” misses the point
Could have used more scripture. I was disappointed they didn’t offer any response to the Christian deconstructing his faith
Not what I was expecting. Thought it would involve more scientific research/interviews. Instead you see a ton of various people staring off into the distance. Think the director tried too hard of making the film look pretty instead of concentrating on the true content. Wasn’t bad, but not good either.
I took my two teens to see this moving hoping it would provoke thoughts for them of why they believe what they believe. Also, to be a conversation starter on heaven and their walk with Christ. It did exactly that and more. I highly recommend seeing this movie. I completely agree with Lee in that if we as Christians truly believe what we believe it should be the driving force of all we do.
Not enough stories from people who have had near death experiences. Why include the interview with the man from Hawk Nelson who is now saying he doesn't believe in God? I wish there had been more Biblical references to what heaven is like.
Very informative and encouraging. Thought provoking . Can’t wait fir dvd to come out!
No new concepts for me personally
Was expecting more accounts on near death experiences. Too much focus on the author.
Audio not synced with video, really no evidence presented, could have used more biblical references and near-death experiences. Didn't understand why guy who left the faith was included. Really disappointed.
I had a hard time staying awake, but I was up at 4:15AM that day, and the movie was at 7PM, with heated reclining seats at the theater. I'll see it again if it comes on Pureflix.
Sorry to say but there was VERY little to provide a case for Heaven in this production in our opinion.
Powerful film from a distinguished journalist. Well produced with thoughtful segments designed to stimulate discussion. Beautiful cinematography as well.
Scenery was beautiful. Way too long intro! Not what I expect at all. I felt it was a sales pitch instead of a movie Not
Was not what I was expecting. Had some inspiration. Had some boredom. Some Scenery was absolutely beautiful. Made me want to visit Oregon😉
It started out slow but all in all a great movie. Great stories from great people
Disappointed in this movie. Not much scripture or references to the Bible. Didn’t even understand some of it.
In a world of crazy right now this movie is a perfect reminder of God's steadfast love and what waits beyond in eternity! #love
We had just discussed small booklet on Heaven (Lee) so I thought it was a great follow up for our small group to see . I would recommend it . I found it comforting . Lips didn’t match their mouth which I thought a lilt weird ,as the tickets were 11:50
Could have done so much more with this topic. I would not recommend this to anyone.
He interviewed a few other authors,, told his own story,, nice scenery.. should have been his autobiography. Not impressed. At all.
The timing of the speech was off with the video. I like the content thought it was good. Movie stopped and their were issues the the audio.
Excellent movie. Wake up.
Lee Strobel has done it again.
I loved the diversity of the people interviewed and the overall message of this film! Our son died recently and this movie made me feel better about what he is experiencing now.
Felt like it was a promo for the book!
Very disconnected. Purpose of interviewing a singer that left faith.? It didn't prove heaven. It was more of a case for faith.
Choppy. Interview with atheist was confusing and did not make a case for Heaven. Seemed to be more focus on the art and so much less on the case for Heaven. We left after 70 minutes.
It was interesting and the actual experiences were thought provoking. However, I thought it would contain much more scripture references.
