Am I talkin to me?
EJ FranklinMar 23, 202525 The average age of the cast and crew is roughly 84 years old. Paced as if the movie is expecting you to fall asleep to it at some point. Senior citizen core. Howled at the big climactic scene where a bunch of the mob guys waddle back to their cars after the cops…

It’s rare to see a film in which not a single interesting thing happens over the course of its entire running time. Not only is that true of Barry Levinson’s “The Alto Knights,” but this tired-as-hell mafia story — which wouldn’t merit so much as a footnote in the history…
davidehrlichMar 18, 2025The average age of all the people involved in this film is 127.
LennyMar 21, 2025Would’ve been better if it had 2 Robert Pattinsons, directed by Bong Joon-ho, and was set outside of Earth.

Renowned for playing the gangster type, De Niro just had to come back twice. The whole two-character, one-actor gimmick didn't work for me. I'd accept it if they were twins in reality, but they aren't even related. As for the story, it lost my attention too many times. Apart from the over-the-top…
I really liked it! Found myself agreeing with both of them at different times throughout the movie. I think having De Niro play both leads was unnecessary and a wasted opportunity

This is a film that has an ambitious concept, extremely productive elements and a legend like Robert De Niro at the center, but it fails to transform its material into something worthy of expectations. It is a decent work that will be appreciated mainly by fans of the genre, but it does not reach…
A very interesting and informative film with historical events that were fun to learn about. As someone who loves mafia films, games, series, and the real life history of the American/Italian mafia I found this film very entertaining and enjoyable. Robert De Niro was great.

Made it through 75 minutes of this dreck before I had to turn it off. What a bore. Any why on earth was it necessary for De Niro to play both lead characters in this? Complete rubbish.
It was like watching Robert DeNiro play Joe Pesci play Robert De Niro. Good movie but definitely not worthy of joining the canon alongside Casino, The Departed, Goodfellas etc.

shame on de niro, this was a huge miss. 2 hours of waiting for ANYTHING TO HAPPEN
I've always loved a good movie based on a true story and this movie didn't disappoint. It's an interesting watch and we enjoyed watching it.

The appeal here is a solid story of an aging mobster with all the charm of indie filmmaking.
The Alto Knights is a movie whose ambition has passed. It feels like the husk of something that might have been great once.
The Alto Knights, despite its pedigree, doesn’t rise anywhere near the heights of its glorious predecessors. It is, rather, an enjoyable if choppily paced look at a relationship between two men, where unfortunately we’re arriving pretty late in the game.
