Synopsis
The perfectly ghoulish family created by cartoonist Charles Addams is brought back to life in a new CG-animated feature that stays true to the comically morbid characters. Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron voice Gomez and Morticia Addams, whose family is threatened by the attention of a greedy reality TV host (Allison Janney).
But can anyone really threaten the Addams family? You don’t want to tangle with the grimly gleeful Wednesday Addams (Chloë Grace Moretz) or her brother Pugsley (Finn Wolfhard), much less the resourceful Uncle Fester (Nick Kroll).

Metacritic
Never satisfyingly kooky, spooky or ooky, the new animated Addams Family film transports Charles Addams’ lovably macabre clan into the 21st century, resulting in an undistinguished children’s comedy full of dull pop-culture referencing and half-hearted commentary about the importance of inclusiveness.

A movie so bland and forgettable it hardly merits a groan from the Frankenstein-like butler called Lurch, The Addams Family strongly suggests that directors Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon deserve little credit for 2016's Sausage Party, the hit they directed for writers/producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
