everybodys always trying to go somewhere to chase clout - jason took new york, mike myers drove to cali, leprechaun's in space....only leatherface keeps it real & reps his hometown ✌️ gotta build yr local scene
pd187Oct 1, 2018If you want to watch a movie where Matthew McConaughey crushes a woman’s skull and you’ve already seen How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, I guess this will do.
Matt SingerDec 9, 2018When I was younger I think this or part III might have been the second TCM movie I saw in the franchise and I’ve had a weird fascination with this movie ever since. I love the five/ten minutes in the beginning that feel Linklater-esque (some of the Dazed & Confuzed crew…

The yassification of Leatherface.
trainwrecktimOct 13, 2021Matthew McConaughey is far too attractive to play this type of unhinged homicidal maniac. Like, they didn't even try to make him ugly. He even tried to show off his abs a couple of times! And Renee rested her head in his crotch. The stars are purely for Matthew. Also this…

robyn“Why are my batteries not charged?” For many years, Kim Henkel kept a pen and paper on his bedside table. As he drifted off to sleep, ideas would poke their heads above water. Glimpsed only briefly, like radar pings, they were half-formed but bore the mark of something…
AaronFeb 8, 2022The original co-screenwriter is given a shot to revive this franchise and brings it briefly back to the deeply uncommercial dirty, low-budget ugliness and deranged hysteria. Not entirely successful and cribs too much of the literal structure of the original but much weirder…

One of the dumbest ducking things I have ever seen. Leatherface was a whiny crossdressing weakling. What an embarrassment. (Not judging the crossdressing, just made such a joke). Labeled as a comedy just because it’s so bad. Not one cannibal motive either. no plot or substance
What the hell. This was like every other horror movie franchise but weird. You’ll have to watch it to see what I mean or don’t wouldn’t recommend. However Renee Zelweger and McConaughey are in it so do what you will with that.

The movie was mid and leatherface was barely even a killer in it BUT Matthew McConaughey’s performance in this was crazy good. I would’ve rated this movie lower if it wasn’t for him because he was soo good in this! He plays crazy so well!! Matthew McConaughey saved this movie imo
Watched the original, loved it! This one is just crazy! Interesting to see these 2 big screen favorites in their first film, they almost canceled this all together because they worried their careers would be tarnished. It’s kooky, and funny, definitely not as scary as 1973.
loved the idea of them going back to the original house with a newly generation of the Sawyer family. the cross dressing leatherface truly was unique and different, not in a bad way. I think it's a nice fit into the rest of the story with all the other movies.

Opens with gaslighting, strange dialogue, and a death obsession. I’m confused—so they eat regular food now? From outer space??She had time to run. Purple dress is cunty. McConaughey eats, has a big booty. Grandpa resurrects, meta chaos. Last 20 mins slap.
Oof, this has a lot of bad stuff going for it. This sequel gains back some of the grittiness of the original, but unfortunately retains the campiness of the other installments. Watchable just because of the bonkers performances.
