Synopsis

When it looks like Hollywood is making a movie about every single superhero ever, the plucky Teen Titans ask, “Why not us?” Determined to be stars instead of sidekicks, Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg and Raven head to Tinsel Town to make their big screen dreams come true… until a villain named Slade gets in their way. This fresh and funny addition to the summer superhero blockbuster genre mixes the silly with the satirical in that unique Teen Titans GO! way. Will there be musical numbers? Will there be waffles? … Yes, of course there will be. It wouldn’t be a Teen Titans GO! extravaganza without songs and waffles! The voice talent from the popular Cartoon Network series is joined by some big new voices, including Will Arnett, Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell, Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, Halsey, and Lil Yachty. The film was written by series creators Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, and directed by Horvath and Peter Rida Michail.

Gave it 5 stars to even out the angry nerds who rate a movie a month before it's out.

It's entertaining for the kids. Me as a mom was blah.

Teen Titans never reaches that sweet spot where adult and kid humor align in a single gag.

It’s an infectiously goofy film, but also deceptively smart about why we love comic book heroes and the amount of stupidity we’re willing to accept within the genre.

Although Teen Titans Go! to the Movies is ostensibly about spoofing superheroes and their hoariest clichés, the film is loaded from top to bottom with loving Easter eggs from DC Comics history.... As a result, it’s actually a far more affectionate portrait of comic books — and a more persuasive argument in favor of their escapist pleasures — than any of the so-called “serious” DC movies.
