Moviegoers are saying
Summer Wars divides audiences between those who connect deeply with its family-centric story and virtual world premise, and those who find it conceptually absurd. While some viewers experienced profound emotional catharsis through its portrayal of family bonds and loss, others were distracted by its bizarre blend of furry avatars, cyber warfare, and what one reviewer called 'getting the entire population of Japan involved in your online beef.'
