Synopsis
Average teenager Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is transformed into an extraordinary superhero after he is accidentally bitten by a radioactive spider. When his beloved uncle (Cliff Robertson) is savagely murdered during a robbery, young Peter vows to use his powers to avenge his death.

Watching Spider-Man today exposes the 2000s era clichés written into the movie. As an introduction to Spider-Man as a character and concept, I feel the movie does well. Tobey M is my favorite Spider-Man to date, and Willem Dafoe is an incredible villain.
