adamboltApr 1, 2021“You've gotta tell them! You've gotta tell them!” Soylent Green has been one of those movies I’ve wanted to watch for so long but never had access to, and finally watching it I’m realising why it’s twist ending is more famous than the film itself. It has some great sci-fi…

I guess in the end, it turned out that Soylent Green was really the friends we made along the way…..
FattyMcGeeSep 29, 2023That’s it? Man, that was disappointing. There was too much hype for that “crazy twist,” and it was kinda meh. F—ed up if you think about it, but the way it was executed was just very poor. As it was, most of the movie, to be honest, has a really good premise and the cast is…
Rafael "Mister Movie" JovineMay 19, 2023Forms a pretty solid, miserably bleak Charlton Heston sci-fi dystopia trilogy with Planet of the Apes and The Omega Man, and though perhaps overshadowed by the legacy and even more iconic twist ending of the former this still very much holds up for me. Namely Fleischer’s…

uhhhhh can I unwatch this please
#1 gizmo fanNov 11, 2025I did not realize what a hellhole New York City was back in 2022. Population grew out of control to a unmanageable 40.000.000. Everyone was shouting: "Make Room! Make Room!" 20.000.000 were unemployed in Manhattan alone. (Well that doesn't quite add up). Women were…
Yves BouwenJun 12, 2015Me and Stevie G on a Sci Fi spree Even though the big reveal is practically common knowledge, Soylent Green is still an interesting stroll through a remarkably well fleshed out dystopian future. In Soylent Green the future is overcrowded and sticky. There is an…

A disturbing, Orwellian, dystopian society film that will have you thinking. While it will probably only crush your hope for the future environmental state of our planet, this movie needs to be seen and its message needs to be heard.
This was, an experience alright. The ending went really hard and somehow made me care when I didn’t like the characters and already knew the reveal. The setting was kinda weird, like the riot bulldozers and the furniture women. Were they like slaves of the property or something?

É engraçado assistir esse filme 4 anos após o previsto, mas achei a crítica muito válida. Achei interessante a construção de personagens em que até a moral, a ética e a empatia foram embora (talvez pelo fato de as pessoas terem perdido completamente sua humanidade).
One of the best sociopolitical dystopian flicks in history. Class warfare yields to a top ten ending revelations ever. Not a big Heston fan, but that doesn’t affect the overall quality. Still, it’s somehow underrated.

amazing point which really reflects on our world, but the movie was slow and confusing for the start, watching the last 20 minutes would be watching the whole movie
I think the story is kinda all over the place. Not super focused and I couldn’t tell what this movie was trying to be. But was still an interesting movie
