South Pacific was the first musical I ever saw and it influenced my life. Underneath the beautiful melodies are poignant lyrics about ugly subjects addressing prejudice and war.

I have seen the movie many times, but never on the big screen. Enjoyed seeing it that way, appreciated seeing the scenery on full screen. Wonderful movie and music!

They don’t make movies like this anymore...seeing it on the big screen in hi def was amazing...greatest soundtrack ever and messages for everyone!

I first saw South Pacific with my Mom in 1960. I had just graduated HS and was starting my new job the following week. I was so engrossed and pleased with the movie that I went to the record store and purchased an album. Played it over and over and today when I saw the movie I remembered all the words to the songs.

They don’t make movies like this anymore we need more of these instead of all the violent movies they are making today. Movies should be an escape from reality not be part of it

I thought the movie was fantastic. The only problem was the sound volume could have been less than 1/2 as loud and the movie would have been even more enjoyable. A thunderstorm moved through the area while viewing the movie and I though the thunder was a part of the movie!

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I last saw it when I was eleven years old.

Great movie with progressive message for 1958 regarding following one's heart for love, and not yielding to racial discrimination. Magnificient !

This movie never gets old. There’s romance, drama, comedy and social commentary as well as fabulous music ! Something for everyone!

The love stories develop without ANY preamble, so that’s a bit silly. And it takes a long, long time to get to the heart/theme of the movie. But the message is decades ahead of its time. Worth sitting through

Very happy they released this for big screen showings. One of our favorites.

South Pacific is one of my favorite musicals. The music is outstanding, the performances convincing. The road-show version is 20 minutes longer and actually much better. This show was fine on the big screen, but they deleted the overture, intermission and it's music, and cut the exit music to about a third. Why? Are they afraid modern audiences won't accept an intermission? Buy the Blu-ray DVD to see not only this shorter version, but the wonderful road-show version that is also included.

Fantastic cinematography. Not a big fan of the filters used to change the mood during some of the sequences, but the vistas were fantastic. Can not duplicate on the small screen.

Unforgettable and beautiful music .... gorgeous photography.

One of my earliest memories was hearing this soundtrack at home. I have waited forever to see it "Big Screen". I sang (quietly) all the way through. A lot of people today could use this lesson in love and tolerance.

Still an amazing film. The story and music will keep you transfixed, despite the awful colorization.

This movie is as relevant as it was 60 years ago. It addresses every human emotion imaginable, giving it timeless appeal.

My favorite musical ever. Wonderful storyline. I've seen the play twice, the movie several times, and it's one of my favorite books. The songs are meaningful, the melodies memorable.

Seemed to have more scenes than when I saw it on TV years ago. The movie must have been shortened to fit the 2 hours for TV.

So much more enjoyable on a theater screen. Absolutely loved it!

I have seen this beautiful movie many times. The music,scenery, singing, dancing on the big screen was fabulous. The intensity of the characters in the love scenes put you right in their with them. It was fantastic seeing it again especially on big Sreen. I love watching TCM station, Those were good actors and actresses . Thank you for showing this great movie 🎥

Magical film..the music, the colors, the emotion! Saw this movie today with my mom, who saw it during the original release when she was 13 y/o.

Still one of my favorite musicals. Ray Walston steals the show with his performance as Billis and Mitzi Gaynor is Mitzi Gaynor! I try to watch it every time it’s on. Watching it on the big screen is special indeed.
