leahonfilmmMar 3, 2026blunt satire with sharp teeth. it’s a ?!-inducing logline (Asian-American teenage girl gets trans-racial surgery to become white and win prom queen), and writer-director Amy Wang knows and embraces the unsubtle lunacy—trust her vision! Amy said during the Q&A that the…

This film is so over-the-top ridiculous that it’s funny most of the time. It has a serious undertone of racism, acceptance, and equality, and what that means to everyone. Slanted is a true look into what every racist and white supremacist really would want in this world.
OH MY GOD? this movie has such a powerful message with AMAZING performances by everyone, every single kid, independent of race, should watch this

You have to know what you’re walking into and you won’t be disappointed. It makes sense. In a wild wicked way.
