Took a group of 10 veterans from 22untilnone.org to see the premiere. The beginning scenes were very realistic & we all agreed that this is a very poignant movie. Keep it indie & don’t Hollywood the movie— I hope enough veterans get a chance to see it.
Well intentioned in the extreme, Sgt. Will Gardner is more effective as PSA than drama.
Homelessness among military veterans is a noble subject for a filmmaker to take on. So it deserves a better vehicle than Sgt. Will Gardner, writer-director Max Martini’s clumsy and sometimes downright laughable portrayal of an injured Iraq war vet.
