don’t @ me but todd haynes made a film about a straight white cisgender woman that illustrates Queer experience more incisively and viscerally than the vast majority of contemporary films showcasing queer (identified) characters and that’s the power of cinema baby

such a unique film that is rooted in suspense from the very beginning. the sound design is absurdly good as is the set design and delicately specific cinematography. julianne moore is perfect as always, giving an emotional and haunting performance amidst complete dysfunction
Solid movie. As someone who sometimes thinks air fresheners and scented candles are trying to ruin me I wondered if I should even watch this. I liked it though. I don’t think it was that bad if you’re a mild hypochondriac. Going to watch it again with commentary soon.
