Serious question, are robotics competitions really like this? If so they kinda rock! While Rule Breakers oddly speeds by, glosses over and outright skips information that felt like it would've been useful and important, (likely due to a weakness in writing, editing or…
Joel R.Mar 8, 2025While I am not a roboticist or much of a programmer, I adore STEM and movies about smart, driven people. So while Rule Breakers has some filmmaking and screenwriting problems, they aren't big enough to have wiped the near constant smile I had on my face as I watched this…
Joel HilkeMar 6, 2025The Plot for this is important and the story is uplifting. It tells the story about Afghan Woman fighting for access to computers and in turn an Afghan teacher trying to get her students into robotics in order to get them to travel and get other opportunities including…

senia <3Mar 20, 2025"Nothing ever happened unless someone dreamt of it first." I'm all for movies of excelling ladies, especially if it's a true story. While flawed, the core story and messaging are important, especially when they focus on that region of the world. It isn't like here when you…
The Moving Pictures Review - Mar 12, 2025
A film that has its heart in the right place but the direction/script/acting is so poor it degrades the quality of the film. I gotta say, my theaters kinda confirmed how racist they are with how they treated this film. Really terrible screen times and only showing it once…
🏳️⚧️💕Belle Forger💕🏳️⚧️Mar 9, 2025It is quite a challenge making this incredible true story unwatchably schmaltzy. And it's doesn't quite, but not from a lack of trying. This is my first Angels Studios film. Oof.
Paul ThomasMar 16, 2025In a society where educating girls is forbidden, a revolutionary female teacher defies all odds. Based on a true story, Roya Mahboob (Nikohl Boosheri) does everything she can to learn about computers and coding so she can take the information and teach young girls. She…

Knowing these girls personally and being there to witness everything that has accrued from 2017, i can say there were so many things that this movie did wrong, that is not how i remember certain situations happen, the reusing of footage from the completions were also so annoying
Empowering and inspirational (esp if you’re a teenager interested in STEM, this could be one of those life changing films for a young person). A little lengthy in the second half. A reminder that education is a privilege 📚

This movie I felt could have been better if they main characters in the film spoke Farsi or have some Farsi conversations rather than speaking only in English. Besides that main criticism of the film, I still say that it is worth watching due to the nature of the film where…

Such an inspiring story. It helps me remember just how lucky I am to live in a country where I can do and be whoever I want to be. These girls fought against all odds and those that were naysayers and blocked their path. I recommend and give 5 stars!
