The world-building was a nice touch, but the story itself carried the day. The tech hinted at in the last few minutes of the movie intrigued me even more than the logistics of coastal living with rising sea levels. The reprise of memory snippets worked well for me, and helped cement the tone of the story, even when turning my expectations on their head.
This movie reminds me of tenet. Also, I did enjoy watching this movie with Hugh Jackman from X-men franchise.

Reminiscence doesn’t leave us much to remember it by, apart from those mournful CGI vistas of water-logged Miami.
Even if certain elements are off, the major accomplishment is that Reminiscence is not boring.
Reminiscence is the damnedest thing — a movie filled with promising concepts it doesn’t get around to exploring, because it’s dedicated to a romantic mystery that’s never very romantic or mysterious
