I would rate a 3.5/7 but overall pretty good with how much music Pharrell produced. Then it like swirls you in near the end when you think the movie is done.

The movie was soooo cute. I loved that it was based on real interviews and I enjoyed seeing how his life played out.

Neville’s film is so forward-thinking, it’s easy to forgive the more superficial aspects of the production.

While inventive, Neville’s doc can’t quite avoid the trappings of the celebrity-produced biopic, and is expectedly marked by typical hagiographic evasiveness.
