  • Sanjay Dutt, Mohnish Bahl, and Padmini Kolhapure acted together in Bekaraar (1983) during their early days. They will been seen together in a film 36 years later.

  • The film was shot in temperatures of 44 degrees in a desert. As the cast had to wear heavy costumes that used metals Ashutosh Gowariker decided to shoot the scenes by wearing a similar costume to keep up the team's spirits.
  • The historical character of Ahmad Shah Abdali was 39 years old at the time of battle. In the film the actor portraying the role, i.e Sanjay Dutt, was 60 years old at the time of filming.
