Violent. Dog-eat-dog corruption is the emphasis of this movie. Be ready to be terrified/disturbed.

Felt like a Hispanic take on Korean Award Winning film ‘Parasite’. Interesting storyline that follows rich family who has their daughter kidnapped in a time of civil unrest in Mexico. A bit slow at times, but finishes strong in my opinion.

If nothing else, New Order demonstrates that the line that separates festival-lauded arthouse films from crass exploitation fare can be very thin indeed.
