Atom User Reviews for Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki
A rather slow, open-ended real life story about a man driven to create art even as he ages, and his mind and body can't keep up as well. He's still quite energetic, though, and determined to make something wonderful. A good watch for fans.
Very entertaining!! A bird's eye view of an amazing Artist/ talent with a fantastic legacy. Highly recommended..
Slow moving, just a look at how he works and his looking into animating with CGI. Nothing super exciting, but nice to see such a legendary storyteller in real-life.
It was enjoyable view into his work ethic.
This is really a must-see for all fans of the highly acclaimed Studio Ghibli and its popular director Hayao Miyazaki! An interesting take on how he gradually accepts CGI animation for his next project.
I was amazed how Hayao Miyazaki is still working on a new project with cgi. I'm really looking forward to see what he has in store.
A great look into the man behind those famous studio ghibli movies. Watching his struggle with accepting and integrating the new technology is heart wrenching to watch at times. I really enjoyed this.
A look into the creative mind of some of the most amazing animated works. If you're a Ghibli fan, or even a fan of the animation process, then I highly recommend giving this a watch.

It’s never boring but a trifle diffuse. If you’re a Miyazaki fan, you’ll want to see it anyway.
Viewers unfamiliar with Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli’s extraordinary output over the years may find Never-Ending Man an exercise in tedium – the creation of an animated film, even a short one, is a famously slow and exceedingly precise process – but for those who, like me, adore his life’s work, it’s a precious and fascinating glimpse into the inner life of the world’s greatest living animator.
Kaku Arakawa's documentary is a candid snapshot of a great artist as an old man.
