I'm offended. Not one gremlin in this entire movie.
FFCJun 1, 2025An odd collage-like approach to a music doc. Lots of talking heads with friends & fans of the band and live footage from different eras thrown in here and there. It doesn’t seem like the band wanted to participate on a personal level though as they’re barely in it. They…

A documentary nominally predicated on the release of Mogwai’s As the Love Continues, and the possibility of it hitting number one in the albums chart. More importantly, it serves as a potted/scattershot history of the band, and what it means to its fans, whether that’s you,…
Grant McLanaghanApr 27, 2025The doc’s lack of focus is frustrating but dangit I love this band and appreciate the care the filmmakers put into this. Watched on a Blu with my pal.
Riley StearnsMar 12, 2024Great music, dull doc. The band are weirdly absent. Only stuart gives any kind of interview. Lots of peripheral folk telling us how wonderful they are, or fans about how important they were to them. No clear narrative or flow. Enjoyed their gig here but not the film.

play mogwai at my funeral. i found the lack of band interviews refreshing because i don't really want info on their method—it would remove some of the mystique from their music. also, u.s. maple appearance!
Liz 🦊Apr 27, 2025A bespoke object for Mogwai fans, not really a movie, but I loved watching it with my pal.
thomas.May 7, 2025I'm so mad at myself for missing their recent Detroit show. The one time I saw them live back in 2007 was transcendent. This is great if you're a Mogwai fan. I would not have complained if it had stretched to two hours and included more concert footage.
