magnificent productions and great voices.
Cast was stellar. Great music and a beautiful production!
Lavish, no expense spared production. I used to pay for a seat in the nosebleed section at the Metropolitan Opera House. Now I can have the same view as the people in the orchestra seats.
Outstanding production! The music and voices were incredible!
Amazing performance !! A great way to appreciate the theater especially opera, since it has an English subtitle.
Gorgeous production, wonderful voices and orchestra.
Beautiful costuming and scenery to accompany the marvelous singing and music
The story of a love blinded callous man...he showed little emotion when Liu dies. Liu had a lovely voice and the Zefferelli set was amazing. I didn't love all the crawling around by the ensemble.
The set, costumes, and choreography were amazing! Puccini's work was great, but I was frustrated with being forced to only be able to see what the cameras showed me. Cheaper than a trip to New York City, though! Well worth it, and we'll go to another one.
The libretto for this one is just plain silly. The lead tenor comes off like a woman abuser, and the lead soprano was over-the-top. The second Soprano, who played Lue was much better. In fact, the second and third-string vocalists/actors were all better than the stars.
Outstanding performance, the Soprano who play Lui was incredible and will go far.
The music, singing, costumes, and scenery were all magnificent.
Beautiful production, and wonderful voices!
Volume inside theater was WAY TOO LOUD (excuse given, "it was too soft last time.")
