bring the kids

Loved seeing this part of the series again in theaters. I disagree with others that it is family friendly. This one is probably okay for kids, but I don’t recommend bringing kids to the next one unless you’re the type of family that watches distressing/dark/horror stuff together anyway. But I don’t have kids, so do what you want lol. Next movie will be much darker though 😬

So going in knowing it was a recap had my sights set low, but to be honest it was amazing to just overall enjoy the series 1st 8 episodes again but with bits and pieces added. I'm very excited to see part 2 to this set and then eventual Bondrewd movie near the end of this year. The interviews at the end of the movie were also a solid touch to let us know that the Creator is working extremely closely with the Director and Producer to endure a very close resemblance of the manga. Stoked for more!

Cleanly combines the episodes of the first half of the anime with some nice new additions to boot. Also the interviews at the end were interesting!

I had high expectations, and this movie did not disappoint. Well done.

Great anime

We had already seen the series, but I enjoyed the recap. Was especially happy to see it in an edited more child friendly version. My son was disappointed it was not all new material, but was very happy with the extra feature discussion with the creators at the end. We're both looking forward to the 2nd movie.

Only reason for the lower stars is it's another retelling of the series with a few new parts. It's still lovely and doesn't even make it to the most heart-wrenching part of S1. Good things from this: there will be a second movie at the very least. Really hoping for a S2 though!
