Atom User Reviews for Lumina
Never in my life have I walked out of a movie I paid for… there’s a first time for everything. The premise is decent but the acting is atrocious… I understand it’s an indie film and so special effects aren’t gonna be the same but I could’ve gotten randos off the street and had better acting… my 4 year old could give those lines better justice… none of the reactions made sense and it continued to go downhill so after about 35-40 minutes I just left
Half star was not available, but it gave my wife a good quiet nap.
B movie at best
Bad acting and even worse plot. Just not a good movie at all. I walked out halfway into the movie.
10 minutes into the movie, my daughter asked if we could leave. I had hoped something would happen and the movie would improve so I watched a bit more while she left and stood in the hall. 10 minute later, I joined her. Horrible acting and horrible dialog. I didn't read the reviews before coming, but started ready Roger Eberts while in the theater. He was right as the whole movie was total lunacy. Now I know why the tickets were 2 for 1. There were 6 people including myself and my daughter in the theatre. When we left, there were only 2 people. I want a refund!!
The movie was confusing and terrible edits
bad acting slow and boring movie
Not sure how this was green lit and had a theatrical release.
cameraman didn't know how to hold the camera steady. the storyline didn't even make sense, glad atom tickets offered a BOGO
First time in my life I've left in the middle of a movie, worst movie I've ever seen.
This movie should never have made theaters.
Do not I mean do not watch this for the sole purpose of it being cheap because it is BAD. I started noticing all the broken lights in the cinema
horrible story line and bad acting.
Worst movie in my life! Fake acting! Not like a movie ! No story no logic no sense ! Wast of money and waste of time !
It started off very slow and picked up slightly at the end. I expected more from a space /alien movie.
I want a refund! my husband slept most of the movie and I was mad I stayed awake for the horrible ending.
bad graphics & why was all the black people killed🤔🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣
Metacritic
There are bad movies, there are really bad movies, and then there’s “Lumina,” a film so breathtaking in its overall incompetence that one starts to wonder if it’s not intentionally so in the hope of being the next “The Room” or “Birdemic.”

At the end of it all, it’s unclear if Lumina is anti-aliens, anti-government, or just anti-cinema. If you go into this one expecting genuine thrills and a compelling alien abduction story, you will likely leave the theater confused, disappointed, and wishing you’d spent the past two hours doing … quite literally anything else.
Lumina is an impressively incoherent film.
