bleak as hell. my 5-year-old asked me "how many minutes are left?" before lilo and stitch even met for the first time. his trailer reviews: - The Bad Guys 2: “no” - The Smurfs: “never” - Superman: “is he a bad guy?” - Elio: “I saw this on YouTube” (?) - Zootopia 2: “What…
davidehrlichMay 18, 2025✨ Captain Gantu (the literal important villain from the original) was NOT in this movie ✨ Jumba and Pleakley were NOT cross-dressing like in the original. They even bastardized Jumba by REMOVING his signature Russian accent and making him an actual villain! ✨ Nani is a…

Pleakly may not have been the drag queen we wanted, but he was the twink we deserved

Whoever was in charge of the creative direction of this movie needs to disappear
5.0 - Apologies, this may be my longest review I have ever written. Lilo & Stitch (2002) is one of my all time favorite movies. Not animated movies, or Disney movies, just favorite movies. The gorgeous animation, the snappy comedy, the perfectly balanced story that is accessible to children &…

They removed a lot of scenes from the main film like Gantu's presence which is really a shame. My session was full of kids who didn't know how to behave
After endlessly torturing her helpless sister, Lilo and her blue cohort continue to harass, berate, and attack many of the inhabitants of their small island. Stitch then slowly drowns for 15 minutes before he is unwillingly saved by someone who does not want him to exist. Ohana Means Family❤️

2/10 based on the animation version, just couldn’t connect with this film. Leave you to decide. No interest in the “Live Version” adaptation. Sorry gang (movie lovers)…. 🤪
I really really enjoyed this. Whatever Disney has lost making its recent films, Lilo & Stitch has found. This movie is full of heart, sweetness, wholesome family humor and how can you not love the little blue Alien! Stitch is as cute as ever and this movie really hits you in the feels. I loved…

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I’m a huge stitch fan. So I was excited to see the previews and is was like woot I’ll go see it. They took out characters. Slaughtered the story line and what was even worse was the acting of jumba and pleakly. Jumba lacked emotion and felt like his lines were forced. Idk who told him he could act. They need to be examined for mental illness. The beginning of the movie seemed forced and to remove gantu they had to work harder to force the story. They wanted more sisterly interactions between nani and lilo. It was completely lost in the whole movie. If you love stitch don’t go see this movie. Wait till it comes out on Disney plus and watch it. They knew it was going to be horrible so that is why they are promoting it so much
The worst live action I ever seen the whole movie change the original story and they deleted the funny scenes
Metacritic
The heart of this story remains firmly intact, but there’s something about seeing it rendered in live-action that takes away its inherent magic.
Lilo Stitch feels like it was made by a boardroom of folks who wanted to sell more Stitch merchandise. Chris Sanders and Maia Kealoha have enough charm to keep families entertained, but it's also hard to deny that these two characters are just as, if not more, endearing in a film you can watch right now on Disney+.
Audiences want to be moved and given a reason to revisit the emotions sparked by the story, and Lilo Stitch delivers.
