A very inspiring story let down by lackluster filmmaking at times. It did get better as it progressed, so it's worth a watch. Patricia Clarkson did a great job.

The very definition of mediocre, Lilly is a film with all the subtlety of a hammer to your head. Every single moment is played as a message and no effort is put in to get to know any of these characters as real human beings. Lilly the person deserved better than this movie.
