Synopsis
Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah (Jennifer Connelly), a teenager with an active imagination, summons the Goblins to take her baby stepbrother away. When little Toby actually disappears, Sarah must follow him into a fantastical world to rescue him from the Goblin King (David Bowie). Guarding his castle is the labyrinth itself, a twisted maze of deception, populated with outrageous characters and unknown dangers. To get through it in time to save Toby, Sarah befriends the Goblins, in hopes that their loyalty isnβt just another illusion in a place where nothing is as it seems.

the scene with all the staircases and bowie just coming at you from every angle, thats honestly what my brain looks like
kennedyJan 11, 2016David Bowie tossing toddlers while singing the magic of dance with a goblin puppet choir is one of life's great pleasures.
Colin the dudeA prime example why practical is almost always better than CG. The set pieces in this film are incredible.

I saw 'Jim Henson', and I knew I was in for a nightmare-fuelled ride. The man made puppetry look organic, and if they do remake this, they better hire his puppet company. Near enough every shot looks dreamlike, and the story and characters are extremely horrifying yet wholesome. The only realβ¦
I LOVE THIS MOVIE, amazing music and such a fever dream decade movie that when I was younger I had believed that I dreamt up. Amazing puppeteer work and practical effects and a fun comedic adventure to go on late at night getting lost with Sarah in the Labyrinth

Great energy and creativity went into the construction, production and direction of this movie, but it doesn't have a story that does justice to the production.
