I really enjoyed this violent tale. It was beautifully shot and takes us to a New York seldom seen anymore. The story of two best friends that get in way over their head when they foil a trap set by corrupt New York cops... the story takes many twists and turns and builds to an amazing reveal in the finale. I love this sort of film and recommend for those who enjoy gritty crime films.
Enjoyed the film from beginning to end. Slow but tense
Metacritic
Despite the presence of theoretically interesting elements such as dirty cops, amnesia and money-laundering, Killerman is two hours of pure boredom.
The result might feel overlong and overwrought; yet thanks to Bader’s clever plotting and fruity dialogue — as well as strong supporting players — this grimy picture climaxes more satisfyingly than expected.
This movie staggers along. So many of its sins could be minimized by an unsentimental slashing of establishing shots and establishing scenes, a thinning out of that dead-zone in the middle and a vigorous pass at the nervy but too drawn-out finale.
