Atom User Reviews for It Comes At Night
This movie was terrible. The entire time I kept waiting for "It" to appear, in "it comes at night" the ending left no questions answered. Was a total waste of 1 hour and 37 minutes of my life! I want that part of my life back as well as my money. Don't waste your time, money and life on this movie like I did. #2thumbsdown
THIS IS NOT A SCARY MOVIE. There are scenes (like 4) that are a little frightening, but overall it's a DRAMA. I have no idea why they marketed the movie as scary. I hate false advertising.
was so bad people walked out halfway thru it. a waste of money. I would never have seen it but Atom posted $5 tickets. I would of rather flushed the money down the drain
The marketing team really made this movie out to be something else. As well as the title. Came out seeing a different movie than what was promised.
Worst movie I've ever seen. It's not scary. It's about two families in the middle of nowhere trying not to get infected by a virus.
One affect the movie does have on you is that it keeps you on your feet the entire time. The only reason I had chills throughout the movie is because I was waiting for the something to happen, but nothing ever really DID happen. In other words, the suspense if definitely there, but that's it. No action to really scare your pants off. Also, the ending was predictable 3/4 of the way in. I wouldn't NOT recommend it, but I wouldn't label it a must-see either. It was okay.
very disappointed, no plot
Movie sucks
Normies got it wrong, it is a great movie.
I only wrote this because you thought it would be a good movie .. it's really not .. you ever got a turned on sexually and your partner left .. for no reason ? Yeah that's this movie to the fullest
this is the worst movie I ever paid to watch.
need questions answered
truly terrible
Great acting. Great cinematography. Terrible plot. Waste of time watching.
May leave you wanting more if you watched the trailers, they give a complete different feel than they do in the theater.
One of those we just profit off the trailer films
I want my money back
Not at all what I expected
Absolutely boring . No plot. Waste of 20 dollars.
No story line!
this is a good movie but it's very artistic and not traditional. It is not a scary movie like you would think it is. It needs a different title LOL
Not pleased.
Trust the critics. Your friends have it wrong. I loved this movie!
No ending, or backstory
interesting, but i did have higher hopes. Well done film though and i thought it was good.
I'm a bit appalled at the amount of good reviews this movie got. It's awful. Several people laughed, exclaimed "OMG " (not in a good way) and talked about wanting their money back when the credits rolled. #falseadvertising
incredibly boring and stupid. ...don't waste your time
this movie sucked
wow
There was no explanation on how the virus began or where it came from.
As much as I want to like it I didn't.
I feel they set up the ending too much for a sequel instead of a mind blowing ending.
worse movie i ever seen
not worth the time or money. Good acting but for what? did not entertain like the commercial says it would
The movie drags out and leaves you guessing with no explanations even at the end.
Refuses to build on its own tension. Lots left unknown. Stylistic and beautiful but editing crushes movie
I rather use my money as toilet paper then to see this movie again.
Confused me a whole lot.. A lot of the events it describe what happened how everybody got sick etc
Biggest disappointment of 2017 so far.
Do not waste your time and money on this !
this is one of the worst movies I've seen in a while. Credits rolled and I was like WTF!! There was nothing that ever came at night!!
A movie the commands attention and piques interest. Small details of this film will have you thinking rich thoughts, if you catch the subtle voice of the film.
Good acting, but unanswered questions and unfulfilled promises cause this film to fall short of its intended goal. More a suspense movie with a couple if horror elements. Wait to rent it.
Avoid this movie. Not worth it. The only scary part was the Annabelle trailer. AVOID
Night time came, but "IT" didn't... Still waiting for it...
Do not waste your money on this film!
If zero was an option...
horrible amd boring waste of money
My eyes didn't just cry; they leaked! I know it's supposed to scary, and it was, but its realistic take on a post-apocalyptic world left me "shook". The ending was more than I bargained for. It's something that can happen; more so, it's something that I know my family would do! Overall amazing!
just kind of disappointing
Metacritic
Taut, smart, intense and genuinely scary, Trey Edward Shults’s It Comes at Night fulfills the promise, and then some, of the filmmaker’s 2015 debut feature, “Krisha.”
There’s just one big problem here: It Comes at Night is about as enjoyable for the audience as it is for the people in the movie. On both sides of the screen, misery reigns.
The details in this post-apocalyptic chamber drama — flat-out horror this is not — are spare, an initially refreshing decision that ultimately results in a rather empty, half-formed narrative.
