Gruesome kills. Boring movie.
Save your money. This movie was so bad that all I could do was laugh afterward
Movie was definitely a bit slow considering it’s from the perspective of the killer, but an original movie nonetheless. Kills were awesome and unique. Plot was ok, just your typical campfire story. 6.5/10
Overrated, slow and outside of 1 kill, boring as hell. Wait till it streams on Shudder
Movie was a big waste of time and money!!!
It's a slow burn but worth the watch. Very different from traditional horror movies
No story line
Boring!!! Nothing like the trailer!!! Don’t waste your time or money!
I understand the idea of POV from the killer but it wasnt executed properly. Kills and sound were the star of the movie.
This was one of the WORST movies I’ve ever seen! I literally fell asleep. Waste of money
Boring
Some very creative ways to kill that I've seen in horror and I love horror movies. I thought surprisingly good and kept my attention
Patience is a must, and the theme in this horror. Peaceful most times as you are seeing through the eyes of the antagonist.
If you like kills and that's it, go see it.
This movie sucks
I would enjoy this a second time on 4k blu ray. it's a great homage to late 80's slashers films with little on plot big on gore. Cinematography is great with wide angle shots of beautiful vista of landscapes and forest woodlands. 10 out of 10 on the scale of homages.
I can tell this was a low budget Jason film, but it wasn't bad. It was cool to see it from the bad guy's perspective.
Good movie not sure why it’s getting hate obviously it’s from the killers point of view so he’s not trying to be seen..Very cinematic and beautiful walking scenes gory kills.
Possibly the absolute worst thing I've experienced all year, and I got cancer
worst movie I have ever seen
A few guests around me fell asleep and I nearly joined them. In A Violent Nature is a slow burn with a third-person perspective from the killer's perspective. The kills are creative, inventive, and gory, but the story, build, and resolution weren't worth the slow burn it put us through. Maybe 4-minute walking scenes at 4:3 aspect ratio wasn't for me. If you like gory slashers, wait for it to come on Shudder. I watched it once, and once was enough.
TRASH! WORST MOVIE EVER. Like I know people always say this about bad movies but this one might actually be the worst movie I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and DON'T WATCH.
I’ve loved horror movies since I was a kid. Jason Vorhees was one of my favorite villains back in the day. This movie gave me that vibe at first but quickly spiraled into boring. I missed not having suspenseful music too. I will say if you enjoy watching the back of someone walk in the woods… this is your movie. Disappointed
Welcome to walking simulator
Absurdly gory but also absurdly stupid…and boring. The ending sucked, as well.
Metacritic
In a Violent Nature is soaked in as much atmosphere as it is blood and viscera, an inventively cozy approach from an exciting new filmmaker.

It’s frustrating and distracting when flat direction, inconsistent effects and wooden acting break the spell, making it more and more of a slog to stay interested as Johnny slices and dices his way through the film’s 94-minute run time.

With In A Violent Nature, Nash crafts something entirely new; composed, near and real. But the film’s sense of tone and timing prove that he also intimately understands why audiences were always invested in these marathons of blood, gore, and guts.
