Exhausting. An ok homage to The Blair Witch Project in the final ten minutes doesn’t save the absolute slog that the rest of this movie is. Show us something! Make something happen! Give us literally anything! A wickedly frustrating film that has left me with more questions…
Ron FrearMar 30, 2026close enough, welcome back the blair witch project
cobMar 25, 2026Yeaaaaa… this didn’t work. I can see what they were trying to accomplish. I really do, but the execution was just awful. The slow burn to, nothing, in the end was really unfortunate and very unforgiving. The whole ‘Blair Witch’ thing was just lazy writing and I gotta say…

i was calling this the maple blair witch project as a joke but at its core, that is pretty much what it is. filmed in a mockumentary/found footage style, hunting matthew nichols follows a young woman looking for her brother and his friend who have gone missing somewhere on…
daggy 🦇Mar 30, 2026Seen at my first AMC Scream Unseen, and it wasn’t the most pleasant experience. The film dives heavy into its documentary approach to storytelling as a clear homage to Blair Witch, which ends up limiting the horror so much that it barely shows a glimpse of anything until…
AntonioOct 19, 2024absolutely awful what happened :( i can’t imagine how tara’s mom is handling this, losing her daughter in the same way she lost her son twenty three years ago

4/10 The film is documentary style for like 90% of the movie, with it slowly falling into a YouTuber-esque investigation, and the last 10% is Blair Witch camcorder, weird, naked, predictable, paranormal footage. The worst part is that they did what I hate, which is to do something for no reason…
A film that covers all the bases of the genre, just a little bit worse than they should be. Especially with how much influence Blair Witch has on this movie’s story and direction, the mediocrity is amplified more than it’d be otherwise. The last 2 minutes did give decent chills.

Maybe I’m just not the biggest fan of found footage movies. This was horribly paced and INSANELY boring. Found myself rolling my eyes and scoffing nearly the entire time. If you’re hoping for something scary, I strongly suggest you watch something else.
Saw an early screening of this for AMC’s Scream Unseen and I was immediately disappointed. I’m not a huge fan of documentaries but mocumentaries are even worse. The acting wasn’t great and the reverse cherry on top was they made the movie satanic.

Less cringey than the trailers and had some potential, but unfortunately squandered its occasional tension by devolving into the typical cliches of found footage
maybe i just don’t like this style of movi, but it felt kind of boring. Cool in concept though
