Atom User Reviews for Hostiles
Truly insightful. The characters learned that we are all the same. mid way through the film, they were able to see war from both sides and learned to accept one another's differences and make peace..
a little slow , needed more dialogue and just a little more action
Dragged on and on and on....with snoring filling the theater...a lot of killing but they barely showed any of it...top ten most boring movies ever
It was a pretty slow movie. Not as much action as I was expecting. Did not like the ending.

Christian B is one of the most talented actors of our generous.
I saw this movie alone from having a bad... last long while in my life. I had a 2 moment of raw pain and emotion that I'm humbled and grateful for. Thank you to the writers and actors for helping me have better understanding not only toward`s "true" life issues, but especially in learning better judgement about how I feel towards myself.
It definitely opened up parts of me from their perspective. I am now courting a Native American man and I didn’t want to watch it at first but I’m glad that I did. We discussed it afterwards. Such beauty.

Hostiles itself wants to be both a throwback and an advance, not so much a new kind of western as every possible kind — vintage, revisionist, elegiac, feminist. What makes the movie interesting is the sincerity and intelligence with which it pursues that ambition, heroically unaware that the mission is doomed from the start.
Cooper has yet to elevate his sensibility beyond a choked, self-inhibiting intensity.
Westerns can be a tough nut to crack, but Hostiles may be the finest example of the genre since Unforgiven.
