Apparently to survive a post-apocalyptic situation, you just have to say “please” a lot.

Naufal ZiqriJan 11, 2026still don’t understand why people in disaster films have so much will to live. i’d rather let a comet hit me than go through all that, no thanks

End-of-the-world movie where the most unrealistic part is the French being helpful and understanding English.

cobFeb 8, 2026RESEÑA EN ESPAÑOL AQUI The first film holds a bit of a special place in my heart, only because—if memory serves me right—it was the first new movie I saw in theaters once cinemas reopened after the COVID lockdown. And honestly, for a disaster subgenre that had started to…

I have no idea what these movies are supposed to be anymore. Then again, I was struggling with the first. The only slight improvements I saw and heard were in the visuals and scoring. Otherwise, from a story, sense, continuity, and depth perspective, it was worse. As for the pacing, I'd say they…
Just got done watching this movie last weekend, it was so good and mind-blowing. I do actually found this very interesting and thrilling than the first movie. I definitely highly recommend this to the fans of the first Greenland movie. Check it out in theatres right now!!!

For two movies called Greenland, they don’t spend a ton of time there
Its just a movie about getting from point A to point B. There were a lot of factors this one could have built on from the first one but that didnt happen. One of the cooler components of the first one was not just anyone could be in the shelter. Now theres random useless people

I honestly expected the sequel to be much worse than the first movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like the perfect, logical continuation. Just one bad thing is that the protagonists are helped by absolutely everyone, I really don’t think that would work in real life. It’s always…
Gerard Butler saving people during a disaster should be its own genre at this point. The first movie felt generic and mimicked scenes from other disaster movies (like “2012”). This sequel had a little more originality, with the focus being onlife after the world ended and what John Garrett (played…
This was an unimaginable level of bad. There’s no sense of objectivity, no sense of scale, no sense of anything other than an artificially derivative sense of urgency. The best summary of this film is “they forgot the kid had diabetes” because there is not one coherent plot point that consistently…

I can’t reasonably give this movie anymore than one star. Honestly though, I knew what I was getting myself into with Greenland 2 and it lives up to what my expectations were going in. It’s action packed, predictable, and mindless. I don’t think you need to see this in a theater but if you have nothing better to do on a Friday night give this a watch…preferably under the influence.
This was a great sequel to the first one and was very action packed. It was great watching it in Regal RPX and even had some moments I jumped. I really liked it!
Metacritic
For all of its dourness, there is still a bit of entertainment to be found. It's just too bad the film is taking itself far too seriously.
For their part, the Garrity family is asked to carry more weight with less substance, and their non-characters struggle to support the emotional burden of an intimate life-or-death journey, the destination of which is a lot sillier than it was the last time around.
Greenland 2: Migration takes itself seriously in all the wrong ways; it wants to maintain a safe distance from the real world, while urging the audience to shed a tear over some imagined nobility.
