Moviegoers are saying
Greenland 2: Migration delivers exactly what fans expect from a disaster sequel - relentless action and predictable thrills that keep you on the edge of your seat, even when you see every plot twist coming. While audiences praise its heart-pounding intensity and emotional moments that brought some to tears, many feel it suffers from 'sequel syndrome' with a disjointed storyline and convenient plot devices that make survival feel too easy.

For all of its dourness, there is still a bit of entertainment to be found. It's just too bad the film is taking itself far too seriously.

For their part, the Garrity family is asked to carry more weight with less substance, and their non-characters struggle to support the emotional burden of an intimate life-or-death journey, the destination of which is a lot sillier than it was the last time around.

Greenland 2: Migration takes itself seriously in all the wrong ways; it wants to maintain a safe distance from the real world, while urging the audience to shed a tear over some imagined nobility.
