Atom User Reviews for Gotti
I have been following Mr Gotti since I my childhood and have been following this movie for eight years. I must say John Travolta knocked it out of the park. Nice to see a true story stay very true. Mr Gotti was a hero to a lot of people. He will never be forgotten!
Gotti was interesting, the critics group think shouldn't keep you from watching.
No one could have portrayed Gotti better than John Travolta....he really hit the nail on the head. He clearly studied him very closely as far as facial expressions and mannerisms....well done! Not much of a script, but acting was SUPERB. AAA+++
awesome.....Travolta was awesome
The film was all over the place. No real story line line to follow. So the movie as a whole - kinda sucked...but I have to say John Travolta was amazing as John Gotti. Great acting, poor execution.
very well paced. take a look into Gotti's life from 3 different times of his life.
Not that it's the most accurate, but Travolta knocked it out of the ball park. IMO he deserves a academy award for this.
Wasn’t a bad movie just felt like it could of been longer more action
Not the action packed mob movie you might think it to be. But still a very good bio-movie.
Loved the movie!
Metacritic
Gotti is technically inept, where every scene feels like a disconnected sizzle reel for a different movie than the previous one, but the fascinating thing it about is less what it fails to do than what it’s trying to do.
The problem with the film’s buckshot “this-happened-and-then-that-happened” storyline is that Connolly keeps hurtling ahead from scene to scene trying to touch every base in Gotti’s life of crime without every letting any one moment breathe long enough for it to resonate.
I’d rather wake up next to a severed horse head than ever watch Gotti again.
