Spooktober II: To Hell With the 80s A year after the release of Joe Dante's classic, "Gremlins", Empire Pictures brought us a demented horror-comedy that mixed Satanic-themed elements with the special appearance of certain devilish creatures that do not have the same…
Rafael "Mister Movie" JovineFeb 3, 2025Such a Charles Band production, you don’t even need to watch to tell he was involved. The Richard Band score, the puppetry (especially when they do absolutely nothing for most of the film) and a boring film until the climax. I couldn’t care less about the cast of…
gregs1999Aug 19, 2013From the poster I was expecting a Gremlins rip off about cute slimey things fucking everyone's shit up but what I got was so much more! I love me a good satanic ritual, man. Also how much do I love Jack Nance though? A MILLION.

ugly ah jits
meyiApr 20, 2021This was disappointing. I was expecting way more camp, but this took itself so seriously and had one of the weirdest plots I’ve ever seen, AND it has almost nothing to do with the ghoulies at all. You’d think they would make the ghoulies the main villains like Gremlins or…
Ryan DanielJul 6, 2025One of the only non-David Lynch films to feature the great character actor Jack Nance. In this one he's evoking Vincent Price's wizard character in The Raven. He enlivens the film with his big eyes and his fantasia of silly child-like make-believe. Back during the…

I wish the whole movie was the clown doll ghoulie crying slime, or ghoulies emerging from various dips. I love those cute lil guys!!!
LexxxOct 28, 2025Featuring both the best and worst breakdancing ever committed to celluloid. This Charles Band production another film viewed years ago where only parts of it were seen. No, not almost 30 years ago like Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead, but it was before joining Letterboxd in…
Blair RussellOct 4, 2019What I expected: A cheapo Charles Band rip-off of Gremlins What I got: Wizards locked in mortal combat firing eye lasers at each other

I mean it was campy and bad enough to be a little fun but it dragged on too much. I wasn’t expecting much. Was looking for dumb fun but the fun was too spread out. Watch if you’re bored and have nothing better to watch I guess.

This one is a cut-rate Gremlins, about some small, nasty creatures brought forth by a young man dabbling in the occult.
