if everything that man creates is information, then tools, cities, children and society are extensions of the human genome and its intentions. if man can create his world with intention, that means that for those creations, nothing is mechanistic, nothing is meaningless,…
comrade_yuiOct 15, 2016It's a "sequel is actually a masterpieces and better than the original contrary to the general consensus" episode again.
JamesMay 1, 2021“Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence” hones the structural minimalism of its predecessor to become one of the most remarkably sharp and visually-assured animes of its era. It also has such a Spartan frame — that it seems to creak at times under the weight of its own…

every single sequence in this film is self-interrogating, constantly contrasting; superficially between the 2D and 3DCGI animation, but also in the fact that it makes no attempt to immerse its narrative in its artificiality, like a kon or miyazaki film would do. spaces in…

ElizaJun 15, 2024not huge on the first one but i really loved this. much more bracing exploration of the same ideas, smartly patterns itself after classic detective stories, has an actual plot. i mean basically an improvement in every way.

Aside from some dodgy 3D animation implemented alongside spectacular 2D animation, Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence is exceptional. Often derided as worse than its predecessor, aside from the aforementioned 3D effects, I think the film has improved significantly with age.…

Despite the very blatant change. I really loved the theme and it really felt like following a ghost through shells
A far cry from the original seminal classic. The digital animation wasn’t as bad as many claim, but it certainly ages the movie further than the first. Plays more in like with a noir than a scifi thriller, and it doesn’t help that the Major is barely included.

This was so good it sparked so many interesting philosophical questions about transhumanism. The first movie set the scene for this glorious sequel. The title is chilling once you reach the end. The looping sequence 🤯😵💫 amazing
3/10 I didn’t like this movie but I really need to rewatch it cause I don’t remember any thing abt it
