I freaking loved it. My husband doesn’t really g for those types of movies but he is sweet to me so we went. And we were both giggling at the tension. I loved it I will own that movie one day.

It's clear that de Wilde adores Emma, for all her challenges, just as much as her fictional admirers. And audiences should fall in love with her again, too.

In the lead role, Anya Taylor-Joy creates an admirably spiky character who is less likable than some of her screen predecessors, and all the better for it.
