血债滔天,罪大恶极。 what israel is doing now is no different from what the Japanese did to my people during the Nanjing Massacre. I mean this with my full heart, I hope every zionist and israeli soldier sets themselves on fire. A good imperialist soldier is one who kills themselves.

KungPaoYaoAug 17, 2025A powerfully gripping historical drama from China. It’s a Schindler’s List-type or (a closer comparison) a Diary of Anne Frank-type story set against the horrific backdrop of the Nanjing Massacre. The narrative, driven by an ensemble of richly-written characters, packs one…

Make no mistake, this is China's Schindler's List. It's actually got a well written plot, layered characters and a twist I didn't see coming. It's even learned to go sparingly on music at the more emotional moments (there are many). China's come a long way from the clunky…
SquirrelQAug 10, 2025Went into it expecting another harrowing portrayal of Japanese brutality to China during WW2 (second time this week), but ended up falling in love with the film due to its incredible depiction of war photography. If you liked Alex Garland's Civil War thematically, this is…

When I said earlier that She Rides Shotgun is the most traumatising movie of the year, I hadn't seen this one. This was absolutely terrible to watch and honestly might be one of the only films where I wanted to look away cause I couldn't bear to see what was coming next.…
veikAug 18, 2025to call this movie “propaganda” misses the point; it’s testimony. and the tragedy is that testimony is never really past tense, it echoes in every occupation, every act of imperial violence we’re watching unfold now. the atrocities happening in gaza directly reflect what…
lamcyJan 13, 2026I almost lost it several times to be honest…. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this before

Very emotional, intense, and disturbing. This film portrayed the war crimes of the Japanese fascists during WWII and left nothing to the imagination. Long live the Chinese people. Long live antifascism.
