Atom User Reviews for Cuckoo
Artist, entertainment, had me guessing on what was going on, had my attention, & We love Hunter!!
I thought the movie created a creepy ambiance. The performances of Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens were my favorite as their characters held the most emotion and integration into the story. The eventual plot reveal made the story a little more confusing and I felt certain characters abrupt removal from the film toward its end left it quite ambiguous for me. I think that the reveal could’ve been better tailored but aside from that, the movie had given me much entertainment and thought provocation.
I liked it. It didn’t let down.. I highly suggest it.
This was a very weird movie but in a good way. I’m glad I watched it in a theater instead of at home (which I debated myself about). Hunter Schafer proves that she is talented as the lead here and Dan Stevens is creepy. The whole movie is creepy but worth a watch.
Movie was a very slow watch but the ending was rewarding

Cuckoo isn’t a horror movie for people who dislike unanswered questions, since Singer, who also wrote its script, is far more interested in emotional logic than the literal kind.
As Cuckoo moves to its final third the fragments of its ideas never quite form a convincing whole. Luckily, Schafer is there to guide us through.
Sure to be a cult classic, it’s quite literally cuckoo – and often gloriously so.
