Boring people will call it a less good Heat dupe, but I think LA is big enough for many movies about master thieves struggling to navigate their personal and professional lives. Sleek looking picture, adored the use of reflections, the camera mounted to car doors, the…

cobFeb 9, 2026Chris Hemsworth was mid heistgooning and jewelmaxxing when a patternmaxxed detectoid policecel Mark Ruffalo forensicmogged his heist with goated pattern recognition and crimecel Barry Keoghan feralpilled gremlinmaxxed the whole operation into a containmentbreachoid…

Designedly sprawling and diffuse in between its allusions, with a decently Friedkin-ish car chase, careful location scouting, and big stars playing slightly to the side of type. Everybody involved seems to be engaged by the low-key realism of the material; Hemsworth and…
Adam NaymanFeb 11, 2026This is so obviously made as a Heat copycat that I wish I disliked it so I could dismissively call it Reheated. The problem is I actually liked this. So I cannot call it that. However, I write a Letterboxd review where I make this joke. I have no problem with that…
Matt SingerFeb 9, 2026Basically everyone in this movie is at their sexiest. Yes, even worn-down cop Mark Ruffalo…. Maybe especially worn-down cop Mark Ruffalo. The type of high-intensity, lavishly-stylized, LA crime thriller that I could watch a million versions of and always be stoked for…

8.2 - Tense, stylish, crime/heist thrillers are probably my favorite (nano?)genre. They just never really miss. It’s super derivative & standardized but the chase scenes & robberies had me on the edge of my seat, & the score & pace had my pulse pounding. It just could have benefited from a little…
too many big actors, had to give them all screen time. plots so unnecessary, wasted so much time. halle berry served little to no purpose for plot besides maybe girl boss moment. this could have been an email.

This is a movie that FELT like a lot of things. It feels incredibly stylish, there’s a lot of swagger throughout this script and within these characters, characters are acted rather well, and their chemistry is all there. It feels intense, cinematography is unique and especially in vehicle…
honestly really enjoyed my time, I love these sorts of movies. It’s fast paced and doesn’t give you a break at all. The cast was also phenomenal with Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry absolutely shining the way thru, but most important of all I absolutely loved the support from Barry Keoghan what…

This movie had some unnecessary scenes and plot stuff but I honestly enjoyed it. I probably mostly enjoyed it because of Chris Hemsworth but I mean the action was there and the acting was well done even though I hated Barry Keoghan’s character. I loved how Chis portrayed his character and the…
🫎🫎🫎1/2 This was good. Every actor did what they needed to do. I thought the story had solid pacing, but it was a little long for what it was. However, i was still never bored. Classic cops chase robbers, but with that dynamic changing a bunch. The score was decent with building suspense for…
An interesting slow burn thriller of a meticulous theft pulling off jewelry heists. Just a fantastic cast that was intertwined perfectly. The chase scenes were exhilarating and the scores were not your typical heists seen in other movies. Felt a little bit like a modern Robin Hood. It had beautiful…

This movie is great, it is truly refreshing to see Chris hemsworth in something that’s not a super hero movie.
Movie had me the entire time.

This is a special movie. It has a life force unlike any other crime thriller I’ve seen. It’s about characters who suffer a personal failure but emerge transformed. It’s a violent movie, but not a cruel one, and unexpectedly moving by the end.
An extremely down-to-earth, character-driven heist movie that in the best ways resembles similar fare from the 1990s.
Layton is a confident storyteller and the various subplots in Winslow’s pulpy scenario converge elegantly, even if they’re a bit secondhand.
