Atom User Reviews for Casablanca 80th Anniversary presented by TCM
In my humble opinion, this is the greatest movie ever made! So happy to finally see it on the big screen.
I've seen this movie at least 15 times and it never gets old. I own it on Blu-Ray but wanted to see it on the big screen. It did not disappoint. This was the way it was meant to be seen.
One of the best movies of all time!!!
Movie is an absolute 5-star pic. There's something about seeing it on a big screen - as it was meant to be seen - that made it even better (if that's possible). Loved the intro from Ben. Unfortunately, Ben got cut off about mid-way through the epilogue-just as he was explaining some very important historical context-, the screen went blank, and the house lights came on. Seriously? We all complained to no avail. Fairfax Corner theater should be ashamed of themselves, but I doubt they are. Can we have access to Ben's transcript? I'm not only a TCM fan, but a history major who has visited Casablanca. Would have loved to hear the rest of the story!
We watch it every chance we get!
One of my all time favorites ruined by the theater. Moved start time back 1/2, fine, got email in time. Movie didn't start until originally scheduled time anyway then ended early because run time would run into next scheduled movie!
Casablanca is one of the most perfectly done films of all time. Great story, beautifully acted. Those qualities come across even more on the big screen.
One of our favorites! And it was so amazing to see on the big screen again, as it was meant to be seen 80 years ago. So grateful this could be a special part of our vacation
Wish I could have gone! My favorite movie of all time but my entire household got COVID and we had to miss it . Iβm sooo sad!!
Sooo many tv viewings! Big screen was fantastic! If you are a Casablanca fan MUST SEE!
Wonderful movie but unfortunately the theater people stopped in the middle of Benβs post-movie comments - they turned on the lights and stopped the film. Stupid!
Missed it 80 years ago⦠these TCM Fathom Big Screen screening make my bucket list
My 12 year old was not so sure at first but after the movie he said wow... that's a win for old Dad!
Thank you for this opportunity to make memories with my Mom and kids. The kids loved the history, and that my daughter's name is Ilse (really from the movie)! My Mom kept saying how she has never seen it on the big screen in her 75yrs. She was in AWE! Thank you!
There's a reason why thus movie is consistently in the top 5 for AFI....
So fun to see it on the big screen! 80 years old and still the best!
So great on the big screen!
Seeing this movie on the big screen was beyond compare! I highly recommend it if you have to opportunity.
What can I say? It's Casablanca...
My all-time favorite movie!
Seeing this movie on the big screen allows one to experience everything that made this movie great. All the lines that aren't the famous ones, all the minor characters, the cinematography...just everything. And then there's Bogart and Bergman. Movies don't get better than this one!
This is one of my favorite movies. Seeing it the big screen was even better
I finally got to see this movie--worth the wait! So interesting to see this historical movie made in the middle of its historical setting.
Best ever
Not much negative... One of the 4 or 5 greatest movies of ALL TIMEππππ₯π₯π₯ππ
Iβve seen this movie two or three times a year for 50 years. This was the first time on a big screen and I loved it. So much fun to notice the little things like Sam not actually playing the piano.
One of the best love stories ever filmed. Ingrid Bergmanβs performance is stellar and her range of emotional expression should be the pinnacle for every actor to aspire to. Iβm always impressed with the supporting cast, most of whom were refugees of the fascist movements in Europe of the 1930βs. Michael Curtiz was able to get the most out of the actors, the script and score; another trifecta for one of the best directors in cinematic history. To see this film masterpiece on the big screen was one of the best theater experiences weβve had.
A great film that is even more compelling and romantic one the big screen! A once in a lifetime opportunity!
Great movie, great performances!
