Inspired by the true story of a M?ori chieftain and the fallout after the murder of his young daughter in the 1830s, Broken has been adapted and reimagined for present day New Zealand. Logan (newcomer and real local policeman, Josh Calles) is the ex-leader of a gang called “The Mad Bulls” that continues to feud with the rival “Pouakai” gang. Though Logan has left gang-life to raise his daughter Tori in peace, her murder by a Pouakai gang member forces him back. Logan must choose between revenge, which guarantees total gang warfare, and forgiveness.
