Based on the best-selling novel by Tim Winton, Breath is a coming-of-age story about two teenage boys, Pikelet and Loonie (Samson Coulter and Ben Spence), growing up in a remote section of 1970s coastal Australia. Through an unlikely friendship with Sando (Simon Baker), a surfer and adventurer, they learn to conquer fear and take risks – both in the waves and in their lives. The film is the directorial debut of Simon Baker (The Guardian and The Mentalist), and also stars Elizabeth Debicki and Richard Roxburgh.
