Atom User Reviews for Bolshoi Ballet: La Sylphide
I'm glad I went to see it.
LA SYLPHIDE is as splendid an awe inspiring event as any football game that you can watch on your neighbor's TELE! Should you require a deliberate attempt to perpetuate a thesis of why you my much beguiled viewer can't seem to get enough of this spectacle then watch repeatedly on why this show is tops in its performance papers!!!!!!! Albeit to say some performers showed much more coup de grace than others this show definitely & most likely exceeds the norm at best & at worst is just another drop in the bucket for this crew of saintly stalwarts! Juss keep in mind one thing "SIRS" there taint none better than this!!!!!!! So! Take a look, what ho they say & juss get your keisters over there for a real treat of a ceremony fit for a KING in KING ARTHUR'S COURT! Finally, juss remember one thing about LA SYLPHIDE pleasure seekers we have all come to agree on one more thing that that's all there is to it folks! "DANG TOOTIN !!!!!!!!!"
The ballet was superb, better than expected. Far too much narration, which dragged on and on and on. Worth it to see the wonderful dancers, but the picture was dark and under lit. Needed far higher light level for video.
Gorgeous production, beautiful dancing, terrific introductions. I see a lot of live ballet and LOVED this one for its history and tradition. Everything was super except the overlong intermission which could have been curtailed for the film version. Apart from that minor kvetch, everything was perfect!
Beautifully performed....wonderful to see this historic ballet and excellent introduction to the background of this ballet, the choreographer, the music and surrounding history . Bravo!
Amazing performance of Bolshoi Theater
This was a great performance of a great ballet. Then again, it's the Bolshoi. this is a great way to see the Bolshoi without the jet lag, and the behind-the-scenes camera work and commentary really adds to the performance.
Sorry, I don't do "tags." But I do rave about superb performances and this certainly was one. This proved the beautiful symbiosis between structure and expression with an overly of gorgeous music. It was wonderful!
