Watching the Grabber ice skate is worth the price of admission
Anthony DeveneyOct 17, 2025An emotionally mature sequel instead of some rehashed hollow follow-up? In this economy? Pleasantly surprised by this! Appreciate the small decisions here, making Gwen more of the focus, the change of setting, the dream sequences— it happily wears its influence on its…

“you’re beautiful” “what about me? do you think I’m beautiful?” 💀 love these movies sm. the action was good. loved the freddy krueger aspect, that was rlly cool. glad it tied up unfinished ends from the first one
Idk man, trailer definitely made it look better, scarier and stronger. It fails to deliver that, unfortunately It does what most horror movies do these days, give you nothing and then have an action sequence at the end, this isn’t even horror at this point I’ll be honest. Is it better than the…

Was invited by blumhouse to watch a special screening tonight. Let me tell you how this one was better than the first, and that’s saying a lot considering I loved the first one. This one made me feel alllll the emotions. I was scared, I laughed, I cried, I was anxious. All of it. If you’ve seen…

The visuals. The music. The vibes. The aesthetic. Damn this was fantastic. It’s sooo A Nightmare on Elm Street coded, with scenes that are a straight homage to the Wes Craven classics. I think I actually liked this more than the original. The ending could have been a tiny bit better (he stopped…
great, the first movie was a bit better since it was creepier and more memorable than this one. this one’s more graphic, maybe. totally recommend it though, it even made me tear up a bit AND I was one of only 4 people in the theatre, crazy LMFAO 😭

Definitely A 10/10 Very creepy scary And Funny All In One.!
Metacritic
If The Black Phone dabbles in crimes that are taboo, even unforgivable in its depiction of brutality against innocent children, Black Phone 2 commits its own unforgivable crime of being dreadfully boring. This movie is a snooze — and not just because all of the action takes place entirely during Gwen’s dreams.
The sequel loses the small-scale, intense focus in favor of The Conjuring-level supernatural effects and action. At its best, it’s much scarier than the first movie. But it also comes with a level of full-on action-goofiness that Derrickson and Cargill avoided in Black Phone.
A complaint that’s also common to contemporary horror films nags at The Black Phone 2, in that all of the best things about this movie come from other movies, whether they be the creative team’s previous efforts or iconic titles from decades past.
