Great execution. Presents the material and leaves it up to the viewer to draw conclusions.

I honestly left with more questions and a desire to not see the sequel that won't be made.

The film is too abstract for main stream and main screen audiences. This film would be great at TriBeCa film fest or an art house theatre

Years from now, when the orbital politics of the film have dissolved, what will resonate about Beatriz at Dinner will be the sight of Hayek — leaps and bounds more enchanting a screen presence than the performers surrounding her — as a poignant object of neglect.

The film’s second act is near spot-on comedy of discomfort.

Hayek’s performance, by the end, grows unexpectedly moving. Yet Beatriz at Dinner is a little tidy. It seizes and charms without soaring.
