out of all the movies about being gay and doing crime titled Bad Education, this one’s second best!
mia lee vicinoMay 1, 2020Cory Finley is Yorgos Lanthimos in day mode and that’s a great thing. After Thoroughbreds I was anticipating what he’d do next and this makes me super excited for the NEXT thing he does. His tone is starting to form a voice of it's own in Bad Education, balancing crime and…

Such a thrill when a movie weaponizes Hugh Jackman's showmanship
Patrick WillemsSep 9, 2019One of the more beautiful things about being an American is that it’s easy to justify your own success — at least to yourself. This is the land of opportunity, and people are taught from an early age that they get what they deserve, and they deserve what they get; if they…

I believe in be gay do crime films supremacy
•lily•There's nothing useless in this film, each thing in its place is best, and what seems but idle show, strengthens and supports the rest. I love love loved this movie.
Jim CummingsApr 11, 2020Second viewing. What struck me this time is how much sympathy the film extends toward the administrators who embezzled millions from the Roslyn school district. Key theme here is the corruptibility of adulthood, that slippery slope of compromising here and there until…

True crime, the way I like it. I watched this after seeing Cory Finley's other films, and all I'll say is I hope he continues telling true stories. The sleek retelling doesn't stray too far from the truth, and the smart dramatisation keeps you well invested. To top it all off, the casting is…
Not the role I’d expect to see Hugh Jackman play but he’s a phenomenal actor and portrayed it well. Albeit it’s a bit odd to see him swing the other way considering he’s played very masculine roles in the past. This movie is fine; an intriguing crime story based on true events.
Very fascinating real life story that I never knew about. It just amazes me all long they got away with this. It’s not because Frank and Pam were criminal masterminds, they just found something and exploited it. No one second guessed them because they trusted them. Crazy.

7.5/10 Being from Long Island and not knowing about this story, being able to learn about it was very interesting. Pretty enjoyable cast overall but Hugh Jackman in particular did a spectacular job playing a type of character I’ve never seen him do before.
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Hugh Jackman was amazing in this role, deceptively kind and considerate all the while committing a seemingly perfect crime. The story was fascinating (based on real life) and the way the film chooses to unravel the narrative was sooo good.

7.4/10 A very surprising movie. Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney delivered on their roles. In something I thought would be comedic turned out to be a more serious movie based on a true story of a white collar crime
8.0/10 - Interesting film based on a true story. Hugh Jackman plays Dr. Frank Tassone well. Would recommend especially if you’re into finance and a real case of fraud.
