Synopsis

Stranded in 1955, Marty McFly learns about the death of Doc Brown in 1885 and must travel back in time to save him. With no fuel readily available for the DeLorean, the two must figure how to escape the Old West before Emmett is murdered.

    My whole life I've remembered Doc's sniper rifle having four extra guns split off from it. This doesn't actually happen in the movie and I don't know where I got that from. Anyway Mary Steenburgen is great

Back to the Future III has no future. The reason is that it never works up much of a past as it sends its gull-winged DeLorean time machine back to the Old West. In effect, it goes back to the Age of Steam and runs out of gas. [25 May 1990, p.45]
