Amazing film from start to finish. I thought this film was even better than Snyders Dawn of The Dead Remake. It is action packed and intense from start to finish, adding in moments of comedy without it effecting how well done the film was. The gore was top notch, the story was amazing, and there were no holds barred. 10/10!

The Snyder of 2004 is utterly revived in Army of the Dead, a shrewdly mounted action film (as opposed to a horror one) that may be saying something about imperialism, or may just be a bloody, satisfying entertainment devoid of allegory.

This is a good solid three star movie. Which is perhaps where Snyder should be anyway, away from the extremes of deification and vilification. When he’s not trying to be great, he can actually be quite good.

The domestic drama, like the heist story line, fizzles out in the end.
