I love the smell of marlon brando inventing acting through three seconds of screen time and literally obliterating every other actor ever in the morning. also, napalm

A very fitting take on Vietnam, but I still prefer Godfather I + II as the better FFC works. But this was still highly influential, and is relevant both before and after its time. Love the foiling on how the enlists treat Vietnam as a game, compared to the actual savagery to win.

the pressure that Coppola had on him after making godfather 1 & 2 was so high so for him to release another movie that gets just as much praise is impressive. i feel like martin sheen shouldve been nominated at least for an oscar. its sad that the cow scene was real though😔
10/10 A trippy and psychedelic descent into hell set against the backdrop of the Vietnam war. Through the episodic nature of the film Coppola displays the varying impacts and the continuing degradation that war has on the human mind as Willard makes his journey upriver
